The El Paso Chihuahuas hit two different two-out, two-run home runs and beat the Tacoma Rainiers 4-2 Monday night in the opener of a nine-game road trip. The win moved El Paso to 14-7 on the road and 8-16 at home this season.

Shane Peterson's high home run in the top of the fourth gave the Chihuahuas a 2-0 lead. Peterson has a five-game hitting streak with five extra base hits in that time. With the score tied 2-2 in the top of the eighth, Luis Urías lined a home run inside the right field pole to give the Chihuahuas a 4-2 lead. Relievers Trey Wingenter and José Castillo held Tacoma's offense in the final two innings. Wingenter now has six consecutive scoreless outings, while Castillo picked up his first Triple-A save.
San Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored, while catching a Tacoma runner trying to steal in the first game of his MLB rehab assignment. Luis Perdomo allowed only one earned run in 6.2 innings in a no-decision.
