The San Diego Padres recently announced a group of minor league free agent signings. While Triple-A teams don't receive their Opening Day roster until a few days before the season, here is a list of potential 2019 Chihuahuas we could see at Southwest University Park next season:

The San Diego Padres recently announced a group of minor league free agent signings. While Triple-A teams don't receive their Opening Day roster until a few days before the season, here is a list of potential 2019 Chihuahuas we could see at Southwest University Park next season:

LHP Ryan Bollinger: The 27-year-old divided last season between the Yankees Double-A and Triple-A affiliates. He is spending this winter pitching for Brisbane in the Australian Baseball League.
C Alex Burg: The versatile 31-year-old has also played first base, second base, third base and outfield in his professional career. He has previous Pacific Coast League experience with New Orleans, Oklahoma City and Round Rock.
LHP Dietrich Enns: The 27-year-old lefty split last season between the Twins Double-A and Triple-A affiliates. He pitched for Minnesota in the Major Leagues in 2017.
RHP Tyler Higgins: The 27-year-old pitched against El Paso last year while with Tacoma. He also has previous Triple-A time with New Orleans.
INF Seth Mejias-Brean (pictured above): The 27-year-old also played against the Chihuahuas while with Tacoma in 2017 and 2018. In 141 career games at first base, he has a .994 fielding percentage.
OF Jacob Scavuzzo: The 24-year-old played in the Dodgers' organization from 2012-2018. He hit 24 home runs in 95 Double-A games for Tulsa last season.
RHP Todd Van Steensel: The 27-year-old reliever was also recently in the Twins' system, having pitched for Double-A Chattanooga in 2018. He is from Sydney, Australia.
