Davis' Walk-Off Single Leads NH Past Erie

Manchester, N.H. - Centerfielder Jonathan Davis ripped an RBI single up-the-middle to give the Fisher Cats a 2-1, 10-inning win over Erie on Thursday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Gunnar Heidt doubled to start the frame, scoring on the Davis single off reliever Sean Donatello (2-3), ending an eight-game win streak for the SeaWolves (29-28).
New Hampshire (23-35) took the lead in the third inning. Heidt walked, stole second and scored on a double by Richard Ureña for a 1-0 lead.
Gabriel Quintana reached on a fielder's choice in Erie's seventh inning, advanced to second on a single by Zach Cox, moving to third when Greyson Greiner walked. A. J. Simcox delivered the run with a sacrifice fly.
Andrew Case (4-0), the fourth New Hampshire pitcher, earned the win.

Francisco Rios worked three scoreless innings in his first start off the disabled list. Shane Dawson allowed one run in five innings of relief and Jose Fernandez also tossed a scoreless inning of relief. Steve Pearce, on a MLB Rehab Assignment for the Toronto Blue Jays, walked in four plate appearances as New Hampshire's designated hitter.
The Fisher Cats homestand continues through Sunday, including Star Wars Night on Saturday, June 10. Presented by Bellwether Community Credit Union, Star Wars Night will feature R2-D2 jerseys, music, games and a postgame Atlas Fireworks show. On Friday night at 7:05 p.m., New Hampshire will host the Akron Rubber Ducks. RHP Chris Rowley (2-2, 1.67) is scheduled for New Hampshire against LHP Luis Lugo (4-2, 3.42).
