Altoona, PA - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats dropped the series finale with the Altoona Curve Sunday, falling 6-4 on Mother's Day at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
Trailing 2-0 after two, New Hampshire's Anthony Alford took Altoona starter Brandon Waddell deep with two outs in the third. The home run - a solo shot - was Alford's third of the season and made the score 2-1.
The Curve outscored the Fisher Cats 4-1 between the fourth and sixth innings, which left the 'Cats trailing by four as the game entered the seventh. JC Cardenas began the frame with a single and advanced to third on a double from Richard Ureña. A bases loaded, two out single from Harold Ramirez three batters later plated a pair and brought the score to 6-4, but that would be the last time either team scored in the game as New Hampshire lost 6-4.

Southpaw Shane Dawson (L, 1-5) went five innings while a trio of relievers - Justin Shafer, Tim Mayza and Chris Rowley - handled the remainder of the contest. Mayza and Rowley did not allow a run, with the latter tossing a perfect eighth to extend his scoreless innings pitched streak to 12.
Urena's seventh inning double was his second hit of the game and the third time in the series he recorded a multi-hit effort. He finished the four-game set 8-18 with a run scored and four RBI.
After an off day Monday, the Fisher Cats (12-24) return home for the first of three with the Trenton Thunder on Tuesday, May 16. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
