The Fisher Cat started the scoring in the top of the third.
New Hampshire broke the 1-1 tie with three runs in the top of the seventh, though Portland answered with three runs of their own in the bottom of the eighth to tie it 4-4.
Portland won it in the tenth. With runners at first and second and two outs,
Fisher Cats starter Tom Pannone was superb in his final outing of 2017. The Cranston, RI native went seven innings and allowed one run on three hits, didn't walk a batter and struck out seven.
The series continues tomorrow night in Portland. RHP
