Dates for Fun Flock Tryouts Set
MIDLAND, Mich. - The Great Lakes Loons are seeking the region's best and brightest entertainers to become Fun Flock members for the 2016 season. Cast member tryouts will be at Dow Diamond from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9.
The Loons Fun Flock is responsible for facilitating all in-game entertainment at Dow Diamond during Loons home games. This includes welcoming fans to the stadium, preparing contestants for skits, assisting mascots, and dancing and performing between innings. In addition, the Loons are seeking mascots to engage and interact with fans during games.
"We're committed to providing the best entertainment experience possible for our fans when they come to a game," said Loons Vice President of Marketing and Entertainment Chris Mundhenk. "As a Fun Flock member, you play a major part in that experience by creating a fun, unique family-friendly atmosphere for our fans."
Candidates must be 16 years of age or older by January 1, 2016, confident and enthusiastic when performing in front of large crowds. You'll be asked to be a reliable and responsible member of the promotions team, along with bringing a mature approach to the job each night. Excellent communication skills along with an outgoing personality to interact with fans of all ages is beneficial. The ability to work nights, weekends and holidays is a requirement.
Having a background in dance, cheerleading, theatre or other performing arts is a plus, but not required. Attire for candidates during tryouts is business professional.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register for tryouts, though walk-up auditions are permissible. To reserve a spot, contact Loons Promotions Manager Amber Knieling at [email protected] with your updated resume and references.
