The Crawdads are proud to partner with local schools every year with programs such as Battle of the PTOs, the Reading Program, and Most Improved Students.
For more information regarding any of the Crawdads school programs, email Director of Promotions & Community Relations Chris Dillon at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (828) 322-3000.
Parent Teacher Organizations/Associations have a night of fundraising. Each participating school will be given a voucher for families to redeem at the box office. Buy one reserve seat ticket at $7 and the Crawdads will donate $4 back to that PTO. The school that has the most people in attendance (vouchers redeemed) will be the winner. The first place organization receives $250, second place $150 and third place $100.
The Crawdads Reading Program awards elementary students for their great reading habits. Each child must read 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week for 4 weeks. The Crawdads provide a bookmark for each student to track their progress. Each student that completes the program will receive a free ticket to a designated game and will also be recognized on the field with a pre-game parade.
Most Improved Student awards students in elementary, middle and high school for their behavior and academic success during the school year. Teachers in participating schools can nominate up to five students for Most Improved Student. Selection criteria can be based on behavioral or social development as well as improvements in course work. Students that are selected will receive a free ticket to a designated game and will also be recognized with a certificate on the field before the game.
