About the Spartan Regiment

In honor of the militia group that became the namesake of the city and in honor of America's 250th anniversary, the Spartan Regiment alternate identity celebrates the roots of the Upstate and its service members. The original Spartan Regiment formed in 1775 and was heavily involved in one of the most active battle areas of the Revolutionary War. Inspiration for the uniform comes from the Spartan Regiment Flag
