COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Colorado Spring Sky Sox (57-34) walked off on the Iowa Cubs (42-50) twice as they swept a doubleheader, Sunday at Security Service Field. The Sky Sox captured a 2-1 win in game one and a 5-4 victory in the nightcap.

Williams Pérez pitched a gem in game one, permitting just two hits and one run over six solid frames. He left the game with a 1-1 tie and ended up with a no-decision as Iowa dropped its fifth-straight contest against the Sky Sox.
Iowa did the first damage with singles from John Andreoli and Mark Zagunis in the opening frame to plate a run. A Lewis Brinson triple in the fourth led to a tie game that held until the final frame. With Justin Hancock on the mound for Iowa, Ivan De Jesus roped a double to lead off the seventh, moved to third on a ground out and swiped home on a wild pitch to clinch the walk-off win.
Casey Kelly got the ball in game two and retired the first six batters he faced before getting into trouble in the third inning. A misplayed potential double play led to three, two-out runs for the Sky Sox in the inning, capped by a two-run blast from Mauricio Dubon.

Ali Solis got the I-Cubs back in the game by smashing a two-run home run in the fourth and Mark Zagunis followed with an RBI single to even the game 3-3 in the fifth. Elliot Soto pushed across the go-ahead run in the sixth with a two-out, RBI single of his own.
The Sky Sox locked the game once again in the bottom of the seventh to force extras and a home run from Nate Orf in the eighth gave Colorado Spring its second walk-off victory of the day.
Iowa returns to Principal Park for seven games beginning tomorrow with a 7:08 p.m. game against Nashville. For more information or tickets, visit www.iowacubs.com
