OF Albert Almora Jr. (2016)
Albert Almora Jr. played in 80 games for the Iowa Cubs during the 2016 season. The first draft pick in the Theo Epstein era, batted a crisp .303 with a .317 on base percentage while in Iowa. Almora made his way to the major league level during the Cubs magical 2016 World Series run and was the first to score in the top of the 10th inning from the Ben Zobrist double down the left field line. Known for his defensive play, Almora has only committed one error in 180 career games played for the Chicago Cubs. In his first two years with the Chicago Cubs, Almora has mostly been a late game defensive addition to help lockdown the outfield in crucial games. This year, Almora has seen his role increase and is on the fast track to becoming the starting center fielder for years to come.
RHP Jake Arrieta (2013)
After being traded from the Baltimore Orioles, Jake Arrieta was sent to Iowa during the 2013 season. Arrieta only made seven starts going 2-2 and pitching in a total of 30 innings as an Iowa Cub. In 2015, Arrieta dominated teams while recording a 1.77 ERA and winning the Cy Young Award. Arrieta most recently signed a 3yr/75million dollar deal with the Phillies. Along with all the other Cubs on this list, Arrieta was a member of the 2016 World Series Championship team.
INF Javier Báez (2014-2016)
Javier Baez suited up for the I-Cubs across three seasons of Triple-A ball, including a 104 games of the 2014 season. During his first season with Iowa, Báez hit 23 home runs, drove in 80 and swiped 16 bags in 388 at-bats. Overall, the infielder amassed 178 games and a .287 average (196H/684AB) en route to Chicago. Over the course of his five Major League seasons, the 2016 World Series Champ and NLCS MVP holds a .257 average (342H/1333AB) with 64 doubles, seven triples, 57 home runs and 194 RBI. 
3B Kris Bryant (2014-2015)
Kris Bryant played a total of 77 games over the course of two years with the Iowa Cubs. Bryant played the bulk of his games in Iowa during the 2014 season. The third baseman clubbed 21 home runs, drove in 52, and batted .295 playing for the Iowa Cubs. Every level Bryant has played at he has excelled. At the Major League level Bryant has collected Rookie of the Year and MVP honors. He just recently hit his 100th career home run and is the future of the Cubs for years to come.
C Willson Contreras (2016)
In just 55 games with the Iowa Cubs, Willson Contreras was able to drive in 43 RBI. His .353 batting average was one of the best on the team during this time in Iowa. In his first Major League at-bat with the Chicago Cubs, Contreras hit a home run on the first pitch he saw in front of a sold out Wrigley Field. Contreras had to miss some time last year due to an injury, but in his first full year in the Major Leagues he bombed 21 home runs and drove in 74 RBI.
RHP Carl Edwards (2015-2016)
In two seasons and 57.0 innings, Carl Edwards holds a career 3.47 and 4-2 record in an I-Cubs uniform. The righty had his best Iowa season in 2015, when he struck out 39 and walked 24 with a 2.84 ERA en route to his Chicago callup on Sept. 7, 2015. He returned back to Des Moines to start the 2016 season, throwing 25.1 innings with a 4.26 ERA (12ER) before graduating to the big leagues and winning a World Series. Over four MLB seasons, Edwards holds a 3.36 ERA (47ER/126.0IP) with 65 walks and 182 strikeouts.
UTL Ian Happ (2017)
During his time with the Iowa Cubs, Ian Happ hit a whopping nine home runs and drove in 25 RBI in just 26 games played. The 2015 First Round Pick quickly rose through the Cubs minor league system and made his debut with the team last May. Happ has displayed his versatility and power with the Chicago Cubs playing 2B, 3B, LF, CF, and RF and hitting 31 career home runs with a .513 slugging percentage.
RHP Kyle Hendricks (2013-2014)
In a combine two years with the Iowa Cubs, Kyle Hendricks posted a 13-6 record with a 3.04 ERA. During his 2014 campaign, Hendricks only walked 23 batters in 102.2 innings pitched. After Iowa, Hendricks has gone on to have a great career. He earned an ERA title in 2016, and hasn't had an ERA over four during his time with the Cubs. He's known for his smooth approach and incredible command while one the mound.
1B Anthony Rizzo (2012)
Anthony Rizzo only played in 70 games with the Iowa Cubs in 2012. While with Iowa, he had one of the best statistical seasons in his career. Rizzo tallied his career high in batting average (.342), slugging percentage (.696) and OPS (1.101) while clubbing 23 homers and driving in 62 RBI. Rizzo has had a wonderful career after his short stint in Iowa. He is a 3x All-Star, has a Silver Slugger award, a Platinum Glove, and of course, a member of the 2016 World Series Champions Chicago Cubs.  
MIF Addison Russell (2015, 2017)
In 12 games with the Iowa Cubs, Addison Russell hit .319 (15-for-47) with five doubles, a home run and nine RBI. The middle infielder spent the balance of his 12 games in Iowa during 2015, before receiving his call up to Chicago. Over four seasons in the MLB, Russell has hit .242 (361H/1493AB) with 85 doubles, 47 home runs and 202 RBI. He is a 2016 All-Star and World Series Champion.
OF Kyle Schwarber (2015 & 2017)
In minimal time with the Iowa Cubs, Kyle Schwarber was able to display his raw power. During his first stint with the team in 2015, Schwarber was able to muster 20 hits in 60 at-bats. Of those 20 hits, Schwarber was able to connect on seven doubles, a triple and three home runs. Many people thought they'd seen the last of Schwarber until he was sent back to the Iowa Cubs last year. Schwarber played in 11 games during his second stint with the I-Cubs, batting .343 with a .477 on-base percentage and hitting four home runs. Schwarber had a very successful rookie campaign and was poised to have a great second year until a collision with Dexter Fowler in the second game of the year ended almost all of his season. Schwarber made the miraculous comeback to DH in the World Series and help the Cubs become World Series Champions.
OF Jorge Soler (2014-2016)
Jorge Soler had a cup of coffee with the Iowa Cubs from the 2014-2016 seasons. He played in 38 career games with Iowa, but the bulk of his games (32) came during the 2014 season; recording a slash line of .282/.378/.618. Soler was another one of the Cubs highly touted prospects and known for smacking a home run in his first Major League at-bat against Mat Latos and the Cincinnati Reds. Soler had a solid first full season at the big league level, but couldn't find his footing with the Cubs because of injuries. He was shipped off to the Kansas City Royals for former Cubs closer and now Rockies closer, Wade Davis. Soler is off to the best season of his young career batting .297 with a whopping .401 on-base percentage and currently has a 1.0 WAR through 41 games played with the Royals.
RHP Blake Parker (2008-2015)
Blake Parker appeared in a franchise-record eight seasons with Iowa. He ended his I-Cubs career as the all-time pitching leader in saves (66), games (194) and games finished (141). Parker logged his final season in the Cubs organization in 2015 and has since seen time with Seattle (2016) and Los Angeles-AL (2017-18). In 185 major league games (as of 5/27), Parker holds a 3.27 ERA with 213 strikeouts over 181.2 innings. 
LHP Chris Rusin (2011-2014)
Chris Rusin pitched in parts of four seasons with Iowa from 2011-14, amassing a 29-31 record with a 4.55 ERA. His most notable feat in an I-Cubs uniform was a no-hitter against New Orleans on May 7, 2014. In between his time with Iowa, Rusin appeared in parts of three seasons with Chicago (2012-14). He would go on to collect a 4-9 record with a 5.52 ERA (60 ER/108.2 IP) for Chicago. Rusin was claimed off waivers by Colorado in 2015 and has found his most major league success with the Rockies. With the Rockies through 2017, Rusin was 8-2 with a 2.89 ERA (149.2 IP/48 ER) in 88 games, including an 8-2 clip with a 2.50 ERA (137.0 IP/38 ER) in 84 games from the bullpen. 
OF John Andreoli (2015-2017)
John Andreoli played three full seasons with Iowa, spanning 2015-17. Following his tenure, Andreoli ranked among the top-five all-time in stolen bases (2nd-202), triples (3rd-21), walks (4th, 214), runs scored (4th-249) and strikeouts (2nd-397). Andreoli signed with the Mariners this off-season and just logged his major league debut.
