Iowa activates LHP Drake Britton from disabled list
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Iowa Cubs on Thursday activated left-handed pitcher Drake Britton from the 7-Day disabled list.
Britton, 26, is 1-2 with a 4.26 ERA (3ER/6.1IP) in four appearances with three strikeouts and two walks this season for Iowa.
He was placed on the disabled list on April 23, retroactive to April 19, with left shoulder soreness.
Iowa's active roster is now at 23 players plus two major league rehab assignments and two players on the disabled list.
The I-Cubs and Nashville Sounds meet tonight for the final game of a four-game series at First Tennessee Park in Nashville, Tenn. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. CT. Left-hander Tsuyoshi Wada (0-3, 3.68) is scheduled to take the hill for Iowa opposite Sounds left-hander Brad Mills (0-3, 5.95). The game can be heard live on AM 940, 104.5 FM, and live-streamed at Iowacubs.com. The On-Deck Circle Pre-game Show will begin 6:40 p.m. CT.
