ROUND ROCK, TX - A seventh-inning Round Rock comeback boosted the Express (19-27) to a slim 5-4 victory over the Iowa Cubs (15-28), Tuesday at Dell Diamond. The I-Cubs fought for a lead with four unanswered runs in the middle frames, but couldn't hold on as they fell to 5-8 in one-run games this season.

Round Rock struck with a first inning run and worked a 3-0 lead through four with the help of solo home runs from Andy Ibáñez and Tommy Joseph.
Iowa broke the shutout in the fifth, taking advantage of a leadoff walk to David Bote. Jacob Hannemann singled to put runners on the corners and Bote sprinted home on a Taylor Davis groundout.
The I-Cubs took the momentum into the sixth, leading with a Chesny Young double. Mike Freeman walked with one and out Mark Zagunis came through with an RBI single. Hannemann added to the damage again with a two-out RBI single to pull Iowa within a run. He would end his night 3-for-4 with an RBI.
The deficit didn't last long as Lane Adams tripled in the seventh to set up an RBI opportunity for Freeman, which he took advantage of with a double to lock the game 4-4.
Round Rock quickly retook the lead for good on a controversial home run from Ibanez, his second of the game, that sailed just over the left field foul pole. That would be all the Express needed to coast to a win.
The series continues tomorrow with a 7:05 first pitch at Dell Diamond. Follow the action on AM 940 or www.iowacubs.com.
