This Veterans Day, the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers will transform the outfield of Atrium Health Ballpark into an inspiring panorama of red, white, and blue.
From November 4 through November 11, hundreds of American flags will fly as a living tribute to the veterans and active-duty service members who have defended our country and protected our freedom. Each 3-foot by 5-foot flag will carry its own story, with an identification tag recognizing the honoree and the individual or family who sponsored the flag.
Visitors will be invited to view the display from the ballpark concourse throughout the week, with special opportunities to walk among the flags on November 9 and 10. The program will conclude with a special Veterans Day ceremony on November 11.
Community members may sponsor a flag in honor or memory of a veteran or active-duty member of the United States Armed Forces. Each flag will include an identification tag recognizing the honoree and the person who sponsored the tribute. At the conclusion of the program, flag sponsors will be invited to take their flag home as a lasting remembrance of their honoree.

Flag and Videoboard Tribute | $30.00
Includes the Flag Tribute package, in addition to:
A photograph of your honoree and their name, branch, and rank displayed on the ballpark videoboard during the weeklong program
Complete the registration form with your contact information and details about the person you are honoring. If you select the videoboard tribute, you will also be asked to upload a photograph of your honoree.
After submitting the registration form, use the secure payment button and portal to complete your $20.00 or $30.00 donation. Both steps must be completed for your flag to be included in the display.

The display may be viewed from the ballpark concourse during daylight hours.

Walk Among the Flags
Guests are invited onto the outfield to walk through the display and experience the flags up close. “Taps” will be played at sunset.
Wednesday, November 11 | 4:00 p.m.
Closing Ceremony
The program will conclude with a special ceremony inside Atrium Health Ballpark, featuring patriotic tributes and a reading of the names of the veterans honored on the field.
Who may be honored with a flag?
Flags may be sponsored in honor or memory of a veteran or active-duty member of the United States Armed Forces.
How much does a flag tribute cost?
A standard flag tribute is $20.00. A flag tribute that also includes the honoree’s photograph on the videoboard is $30.00. After you complete the registration form your donation can be made through either of the secure payment portals:

Can I take the flag home?
Yes. Sponsors may take their flags home following the conclusion of the program on Veterans Day. The 3 x 5’ American flag will also include a PVC flag pole.
When may I visit the display?
The display will be available for viewing from the concourse during daylight hours from November 4 through November 11. Guests may walk among the flags on November 9 and 10 from 4:00–5:30 p.m.
I am having trouble completing the online form and/or submitting my donation. Can this be done in-person?
Certainly! Stop by the Cannon Ballers Team Store (130 West Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28081) between Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and a member of our team will gladly assist with you with the registration and donation. Please note that if you are choosing to include a picture for the videoboard, this must be sent electronically to [email protected].
Can I sponsor more than one flag?
Absolutely! You may sponsor multiple flags, but a separate registration should be completed for each honoree.
How will I receive my flag?
Flag sponsors can pick up their flags beginning at the conclusion of the Closing Ceremonies on Wednesday, November 11 at 4:00 p.m. Flags can also be picked up at the Cannon Ballers Team Store beginning on November 12 during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m-5:00 p.m.)
