(Las Vegas, NV) – September 11, 2026 – The Las Vegas Aviators® professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League, Triple-A affiliate of the Athletics and 2025 PCL Champions, announced today the 2026 season awards for the players. The Las Vegas franchise has been a member of the Pacific Coast League for 43 years (1983-2020, 2022-26) and one season with Triple-A West (2021).
Aviators President/COO Don Logan announced the following awards: Mayor’s Trophy (Presented by Mayor Shelley Berkley): Infielder Drew Swift; Most Valuable Player: Infielder Joey Meneses; Most Valuable Pitcher: Right-hander Geoff Hartlieb.
The Mayor’s Trophy has been given annually since 1983 and is voted on by the fans. The previous winners of the Mayor’s Trophy:

Geoff Hartlieb (Most Valuable Pitcher): The right-hander appeared in 27 games (started four) and accounted for eight victories with a 5-0 record and three saves with a 3.35 ERA. He allowed 49 hits and struck out 53 batters in 48.1 innings pitched.
MLB: He has played seven seasons with Pittsburgh (2019-21), New York Mets (2021), Miami (2023), Colorado (2024), New York Yankees (2025), Detroit (2025) and Athletics (2026). In 2026, has appeared in 12 games and has posted a 1-1 record with a 4.58 ERA. He has struck out 12 batters in 19.2 innings pitched. He defeated San Francisco on June 25.

The Aviators, under manager Fran Riordan, host the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, in the final homestand of the regular season through Sunday, September 13 at Las Vegas Ballpark®.
Las Vegas, on Saturday, June 20, officially won the first half of the 10-team Pacific Coast League title and clinched a spot in the 2026 playoffs for the second consecutive season. The Aviators will host the second half champion (Oklahoma City or Sugar Land) in the PCL best-of-three LCS beginning on Tuesday, September 22 at Las Vegas Ballpark®. The Memphis Redbirds, Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, captured the 20-team International League first half and will host the second half champion in the IL best-of-three LCS beginning on Tuesday, September 22.
Las Vegas Ballpark will then host the Triple-A National Championship Game (International League vs. Pacific Coast League) for the fifth straight season on Saturday, September 26 at 7:05 p.m. and will be televised by MLB Network.
