(Las Vegas, NV) – March 3, 2025 – The Las Vegas Aviators® professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League, Triple-A affiliate of the Athletics, announced today that the Silver State Sports & Entertainment Network (SSSEN) and KVVU FOX5 will televise the Spring Training two-game series at Las Vegas Ballpark®

(Las Vegas, NV) – March 3, 2025 – The Las Vegas Aviators® professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League, Triple-A affiliate of the Athletics, announced today that the Silver State Sports & Entertainment Network (SSSEN) and KVVU FOX5 will televise the Spring Training two-game series at Las Vegas Ballpark® featuring the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Athletics. SSSEN will televise the game on Saturday, March 8 at 1:05 p.m. and FOX5 will televise Sunday, March 9 at 1:05 p.m. SSSEN, home of Aviators baseball, is broadcast on channel 5.2 and on Cox cable channel 125.

The A’s will also broadcast the two-game series on Talk 650 KSTE and A’s Cast. The radio broadcast for Big League Weekend will feature Ken Korach, returning for his 30th season (34th year in the American League) with the A’s and his 20th as the team’s lead radio announcer and Johnny Daskow, beginning his third season with the club. Korach and Daskow will also call the action on SSSEN & KVVU FOX5.

Korach’s first MLB job was in Chicago, where he spent four years broadcasting games for the White Sox. He also spent six full seasons in the minor leagues, beginning in 1984 with the Red­wood Pioneers of the California League. He also worked in the Pacific Coast League in Phoenix (1986-87) and Las Vegas Stars, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres (1989-91).

He was selected as a 2023 finalist for the Ford C. Frick Award, presented by the National Baseball Hall of Fame for excellence in broadcasting. He was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame in September

of 2019 and honored as the 2013 California Sportscaster of the Year and the 2001 Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association. He was inducted in 2017 into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame of Northern California and in 2003 into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Korach was hired in 1985 to broadcast San Jose State football on KCBS Radio and he spent 22 years doing football and basketball on radio and television for Sonoma State, San Jose State and the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels.

Doskow was the voice of the Sacramento River Cats from 2001-22 and broadcast three Triple-A Champion­ships and five Pacific Coast League Championships. In February of 2025, Doskow was inducted into the Sacramento Area Baseball Hall of Fame. Before joining Sacramento, he was the radio broadcaster for the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies (1998-2000), High Des­ert Mavericks (1996-1998), and Cedar Rapids Kernels (1993-1995).

The Aviators, under manager Fran Riordan, will open their 42nd season (1983-2024) in the Silver State against intrastate rival, the Reno Aces, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, on Friday, March 28 at Las Vegas Ballpark®.

The Aviators led all minor league baseball in 2019 attendance with a total of 650,934 for an average of 9,299. Las Vegas recorded 47 sellouts and 23 crowds of 10,000+.

In 2021, Las Vegas led Triple-A West in home attendance with a total of 428,369 for an average of 6,590.

The Aviators were the recipient of the 2021 Baseball America Triple-A Freitas Award, given to the organization of the year at each level of the Minor Leagues.

In 2022, Las Vegas led the PCL in home attendance with a total of 518,221 for an average of 6,910. It marked the second-highest attendance total for a single season in franchise history.

In 2023, Las Vegas recorded back-to-back seasons with 500,000+ home attendance (506,047 for an average of 6,838).

In 2024, Las Vegas home attendance was 481,802 in 74 dates for an average of 6,511 with 12 sellouts. In five seasons at Las Vegas Ballpark, the Aviators have recorded 93 sellouts.

The Stars (1983-2000)/51s (2001-18)/Aviators (2019 - present) have reached 300,000+ in “home” attendance in all 41 seasons (36 seasons at Cashman Field, 1983-2018; Las Vegas Ballpark, 2019, 2021-24). The Aviators completed their fifth season in 2024 as the Triple-A affiliate of the Athletics and the franchise won the PCL championship in 1986 and 1988.
