Pigs drop opener in Toledo

A three-run bottom of the eighth lifted the Toledo Mud Hens over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 4-3 in the opening game in Toledo.
The IronPigs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the third against
Tyler Alexander allowed a pair of unearned runs in 7 1/3 innings for the Mud Hens. He struck out four and scattered seven hits in his start.
The Pigs and Mud Hens continue their four-game set Friday night at 7:05 p.m.
The IronPigs return home July 24 when they welcome the Gwinnett Stripers.
