Pigs swept as lengthy road trip closes

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (47-51) were swept at the hands of the Norfolk Tides (39-61) on Sunday afternoon as they lost 4-3. The IronPigs went 5-6 on their long road trip.

Enyel De Los Santos (4-5) allowed all four runs by the Tides over six innings on Sunday. He gave up eight hits and recorded four strikeouts. He did not issue a walk. The Tides got a run against De Los Santos in the bottom of the first inning as Ryan Mountcastle hit a sacrifice fly. Three runs were added in the bottom of the third inning as DJ Stewart hit a two-run home run and Mountcastle scored on a balk.
The IronPigs did score a run against Tides starting pitcher Dan Straily (3-0) in the top of the sixth inning when Deivy Grullon hit an RBI double that scored Ali Castillo. The Pigs scored two runs against Hunter Harvey in the top of the eighth inning. Austin Listi and Jan Hernandez both hit RBI singles.
Tay Scott earned his second save of the series and season by pitching a scoreless top of the ninth inning.
Austin Davis and Edgar Garcia each pitched a scoreless inning in relief. The IronPigs will return to action on Tuesday evening at Coca-Cola Park when they play the Toledo Mud Hens. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
