August 25, 2026

Allentown, Pennsylvania (August 25, 2026) – A two-run homer in the first inning for Keaton Anthony proved to be the difference as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (26-24, 61-64) held serve the rest of the way for a 2-1 win over the Syracuse Mets (26-25, 64-62) on Tuesday night at Coca-Cola

Allentown, Pennsylvania (August 25, 2026) – A two-run homer in the first inning for Keaton Anthony proved to be the difference as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (26-24, 61-64) held serve the rest of the way for a 2-1 win over the Syracuse Mets (26-25, 64-62) on Tuesday night at Coca-Cola Park.

After Otto Kemp reached on a fielder’s choice to extend the frame, Anthony stepped up in the first and whacked a homer over the wall in leftfield, his eighth of the season.

That proved to be the only offense the ‘Pigs needed. Chuck King (W, 9-6) earned his team best ninth win, his only blemish a solo homer to Ronny Mauricio in the fourth. King allowed just four hits and a walk, striking out five.

Max Lazar retired the first five he faced out of the bullpen before handing things to Lou Trivino III (S, 7) with two and two out in the eighth. After loading the bases with a hit batter, Trivino III struck out pinch-hitter Billy Amick to keep the ‘Pigs ahead before authoring a perfect ninth to close things out.

Jonathan Santucci (L, 0-3) took the loss for the Mets, allowing Anthony’s homer, the only runs he conceded over five frames, striking out seven.

The IronPigs and Mets continue their series on Wednesday, August 26th with first pitch slated for 6:45 p.m. The ‘Pigs hand the ball to Drake Fellows while the Mets starter is TBD.
