LOWELL, MA - After playing nine of their last 12 games on the road it was nice for the Spinners (21-16) to be back in front of the LeLacheur Park faithful and it showed on the scoreboard.

The Spinners jumped on the Renegades (23-13) in the second inning after loading the bases with Tyler Esplin, Jonathan Ortega, and Korby Batesole. Grant Williams brought in the go-ahead run with a groundout and Jarren Duran continued his assault on New York-Penn League pitching with a double to right field to make it 3-0.

Hudson Valley struck back in the top of the third with a run off of starter Brian Brown. He struck out three, walked one, and surrendered four hits over four innings of work.

Lowell struck again in the bottom of the inning after a trio of singles from Tyler Dearden, Kole Cottam, and Devlin Granberg. Esplin drove in Dearden on a sac fly and Ortega brought home Granberg on a fielder's choice to make it 5-1.

Taylor Ahearn delivered a strong performance out of the bullpen with three no-hit innings. He struck out three and walked only one en route to picking up his second win of the season.

The Renegades struck back with a pair of runs in the top of the eighth off of Francisco Lopez-Soto before Kris Jackson picked up his second save of the season to close out a 5-3 victory.

Yorvin Pantoja takes the hill for the Spinners on Wednesday with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
