Lynchburg relied on
Garza got off to a good start and never looked back. In his first inning in Advanced-A ball, he set down the Down East hitters in order by striking out the side and never slowed down.
He went on to strike out seven, and retired 15 of the 17 batters he faced. The only hit he allowed was a bunt single to Leody Tevares in the fourth inning.
The lone Lynchburg run came in the fourth inning.
Hernandez took the tough luck loss, striking out seven in four innings and allowing just four base runners.
