Aces Outslug Tucson, 15-9
Peña used the whole field-hitting a second-inning blast to left and adding an opposite-field shot in the third-on his way to becoming the first Pacific Coast League hitter to reach the 20-homer mark. It was Peña's third multi-homer game this season, and the Aces' fifth as a team.
Collin Cowgill belted his 12th home run and added a pair of singles, while Cody Ransom chipped in with three doubles for the Aces, who equaled their season high with 15 runs.
Jordan Norberto (4-1) earned the win in relief, throwing two scoreless frames and striking out a pair of batters. Zach Kroenke started and took a no decision, surrendering four runs-three earned-in three innings of work.
T-Pads starter Juan Oramas (0-1) was tagged with the loss in his Triple-A debut after allowing seven runs-six earned-in 3.1 innings. Tony Abreu added a pair of hits for Reno, and Konrad Schmidt became the 13th Aces hitter to record a triple this season after hitting his first three-bagger of the 2011 slate.
