AquaSox Announce 2011 Staff Promotions & Additions

EVERETT, Washington - The 2010 Northwest League Champion Everett AquaSox announced the promotion of three current staff members, as well as the addition of two new members of the staff to kick off 2011. Brian Sloan has been promoted to Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Rick Dooley to Vice President of Tickets and Katie Crawford has been named Director of Community Relations. Joining the club for the 2011 campaign are Alex Dadisman (Account Executive) and Katie Nefzger (Ticket Sales Coordinator).

Sloan is entering his 16th season with the AquaSox and has been a key component to the success of the franchise over the years. As Vice President of Corporate Partnerships he will continue to lead the organizations Corporate Sales efforts both building current relationships and actively promoting the team amongst new businesses in the area. Prior to joining the AquaSox, Brian served as General Manager of the Welland Pirates, Assistant General Manager of the Erie SeaWolves and Public Relations Intern for the NHL office in Montreal.

Dooley, the new Vice President of Ticket Sales, is entering his third season with the AquaSox where he oversees all aspects of ticket sales and services. Prior to working for the AquaSox, Rick spent three years in the NBA working for the New Orleans Hornets and the Seattle SuperSonics and Storm. Rick is a graduate of Oregon State University.

Crawford, the new Director of Community Relations, is also entering her third season with the AquaSox, where she oversees all aspects of community outreach and youth programs, as well as on-field entertainment. A graduate of California State University Northridge, Katie previously worked in the Community Development departments of the Houston Astros and Frisco RoughRiders.

"All three of these individuals have been instrumental to our success here in Everett," said Executive Vice President, Tom Backemeyer, "Their new roles are a testament to the hard work and commitment they've displayed over the past two seasons."

Joining the AquaSox staff this year is Alex Dadisman. Alex was a Marketing intern for the AquaSox during the 2010 season, and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Sport and Entertainment Management. Alex also interned for the Columbia Blowfish of the Coastal Plain League.

Katie Nefzger joined the AquaSox in 2009 as a ticketing intern, and came back in 2010 to work with the ticketing department during the season. As Ticket Sales Coordinator, Katie will work with ticket holders and assist in ticket operations and sales. Katie is a graduate of Gonzaga University.
