BlueClaws Romano Recognized By SAL

October 18, 2012
LAKEWOOD, NJ - BlueClaws Visiting Clubhouse Manager Tom Romano was recognized by the South Atlantic League as the "Visiting Clubhouse Manger of the Year" in 2012.

The award was presented at the league's annual Fall Meetings in Raleigh, North Carolina on Tuesday by League President Eric Krupa, himself a former Clubhouse Manager.

Romano has been with the BlueClaws since 2006 in this role and this is the first time he has been so recognized.

The award is voted on by the league's managers and coaches and rewards the Visiting Clubhouse Manager that provides the most exemplary service to the league's visiting teams. This includes cleanliness of the clubhouse, pre and post-game meals, laundry services, and more.

"We're very happy Tom won this award," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "We always hear the highest compliments from the other managers and coaches about their experience at our ballpark and that's something that we are proud of and Tom has a big hand in."

Romano, a Manahawkin native, is also a Social Studies teacher at Middletown High School South.
