Juan Perez restarted the rally with a bunt single and scored on Kurtis Muller's double to tie the game. After Juan Silva walked, Steve Selsky doubled to drive in both Muller and Silva and give the Dragons a 4-2 lead. Waldrop singled in Selsky to make it 5-2.

Bowling Green scored one run in the fifth against Dragons starting pitcher Tanner Robles and Bray entered the game with one out in the inning and runners at first and third. Bray got the first hitter he faced on an infield pop out and then notched a strikeout to retire the side and strand two. The Dragons scored twice in the bottom of the fifth to take a commanding 7-3 lead, keyed by Buckley's RBI double. Bray pitched a perfect sixth inning before give way to Cole Green, who fired two scoreless frames.
