Cubs infield prospect Junior Lake went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and a stolen base to extend his hitting streak to nine games and help the Solar Sox to their fourth consecutive win. Robbie Grossman (Pirates) was 2-for-2 with a pair of walks, two RBIs and three runs scored out of the leadoff spot for Mesa, while Tyler Saladino (White Sox) reached base three times, plated three runs and scored twice. Jason Hagerty (Padres) broke out of a slump with three hits, including a three-run double, as the Javelinas gained ground on the first-place Saguaros. Mets prospect Juan Lagares went 3-for-5 and drove in four runs for Peoria. Braves first-round pick Sean Gilmartin was denied a third straight win for Surprise, despite allowing a run on four hits over five innings. Royals prospect Christian Colon homered in a losing cause. Giants infielder Brandon Crawford extended his hitting streak to six games with a homer and a single as the Scorpions rallied past the Desert Dogs. Darin Ruf (Phillies) and Zach Walters (Nationals) also went deep, while Angels catcher Hank Conger doubled home a pair of runs and scored twice for Scottsdale.
