Davis and Totten Back in the Fold
OTTAWA - The Lynx lineup continues
to evolve, as the team announced roster moves for the third day in a row.
RHP Kane Davis has been activated
from the Lynx disabled list and RHP Heath Totten rejoins the club from
Double-A Reading. RHP Zack Segovia has been transferred to Reading, while
RHP Rick Bauer has been released.
Davis, 31, was placed on the DL
June 3rd with a groin injury. He is 1-1 with a 2.33 ERA in 16 games
with the Lynx this season. Davis has a career record of 49-54 in the Minors. He
made his Major League debut with Cleveland in the year 2000 and has a 4-9 record
in 96 Major League games with Cleveland, Milwaukee, Colorado and the New York
Mets.
Totten, 28, had a 1-2 record
with a 5.21 ERA in three starts with the Lynx from May 9th to
24th. He is 2-5 with a 3.86 ERA in nine starts with the Reading
Phillies this season. The Texas native spent last season at Double-A
Jacksonville, where he went 8-5 with a 3.29 ERA in 21 games.
Segovia, 24, is 1-9 with a 6.05
ERA in 13 games with the Lynx this season. His 77.1 innings pitched and 13
starts lead the Lynx staff. He was 16-6 last year between the Phillies Single-A
affiliate in Clearwater and their Double-A affiliate in Reading and pitched for
Team USA in the Olympic qualifier in Cuba.
Bauer, 30, was 2-4 with a 7.36
ERA in 16 games with the Lynx, including four starts. He rejoined the Lynx April
23rd after spending parts of the 2003, 2004 and 2005 seasons in
Ottawa. Bauer spent all of last season with the Texas Rangers, earning a 3-1
record with a 3.55 ERA in 58 games, mostly out of the bullpen.
This
is the first season the Lynx are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia
