Dubois signs with I-Cubs

Outfielder returns for his third stint

Des Moines, IA - OF Jason Dubois has joined the Iowa Cubs in Omaha, NE and has been added to the team's active roster. Dubois was signed to a minor league free agent contract after being released by the Columbus Clippers on May 18.

Dubois, who was in Monday's lineup against the Omaha Royals, is wearing uniform No. 41.

Now in his third stint with the I-Cubs, entering Monday's game, Dubois had played in 113 games with Iowa. In 109 games with Iowa in 2004, he hit .316 (122-for-386) driving in 99 runs with 31 doubles and 15 home runs.

Dubois made his major league debut on May 19, 2004. In 86 major league games, he is a career .233 hitter with 10 home runs.

In 33 games with the Clippers the season, Dubois hit .217 (20-for-92) with 18 RBI and four home runs.

The addition of Dubois puts Iowa's current roster at 25.

The I-Cubs play game two of a four-game series at Omaha tonight, before returning to Principal Park Friday at 7:05 for the start of an eight-game homestand beginning with the Oklahoma RedHawks.
