Includes full day of free fun around ballpark!
February 28, 2012
LAKEWOOD, NJ - What's the surest sign baseball is around the corner? FanFest is back at FirstEnergy Park! FanFest12 comes to Lakewood on Saturday, March 17th from 10 am - 3 pm.

FanFest marks the day that individual game tickets for the BlueClaws 12th season go on sale to the general public, and as always the event includes a day of FREE fun at the ballpark.

In addition to individual game tickets going on sale for the first time, each reserve seat will be two dollars off the gameday price and will sell for just $9 (adult) or $6 (juniors/seniors). Fans who have already ordered their seats through a ticket package can pick up their tickets at the ballpark.

"With baseball season rapidly approaching, we cannot wait to get fans here for the first time," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "Fans love coming out here for all the fun that FanFest has to offer and to lock in the best seats for the best games of the year."

Included in the day are free food and drinks along the third-base concourse, live music along the first base concourse and behind-the-scenes tours of the ballpark.

Plus, there will be a sale in the ClawsCove for 20% off all new items in the store, a sidewalk sale for select BlueClaws merchandise, two-for-one rides in Dr. Bernard's Kids Zone (plus fans can buy two-for-one tickets valid at any game this season) and fans can take pictures with the team's three championship trophies from 2006, 2009 and 2010.

In the Sam Christopher Press Box, fans can play the role of broadcaster and call the final, championship-clinching out from the 2010 South Atlantic League Championship series or a Ryan Howard home run. The audio will later be e-mailed to fans as a keepsake.

Anyone that brings non-perishable food will receive a voucher for two reserve seats to an April game. These items will be donated to a BlueClaws Charities Community Partner. The BlueClaws are also collecting gently-used cell phones at the information booth that will be donated to Cell Phones for Soldiers.

BlueClaws ticket packages and group outings are currently on sale, and are the only way to reserve the best seats in the park before individual game tickets go on sale March 17th.

Promotions for over 60 BlueClaws home games this year have been released and fans can see the list at BlueClaws.com/Promotions.

Phone and on-line sales will begin on Monday, March 19th at 10 am. Opening Day is Thursday, April 12th at 6:35 p.m. against the Hagerstown Suns - the Washington Nationals Single-A affiliate.

On March 17th, FirstEnergy Park will also host the Jersey Shore Kids Consignment Sale, presented by 94.3 The Point, in the batting cage. Parents can, in advance, bring in youth clothing, toys, games and more through JSKC and receive a portion of the proceeds. Visit www.NJShoreKids.com for more information.

The BlueClaws have led the South Atlantic League in attendance in all 11 years of existence and this year will become the fastest team in New Jersey and SAL history to reach 5-million fans.

Ticket packages and group outings for the upcoming season are available by calling 732-901-7000 or online at BlueClaws.com.
