Midwest Lg. sets new attendance mark
Over 68,000 fans came out to league games on July 4, 2013
BELOIT, Wisc. -- A new Midwest League attendance record for single day was set on July 4, 2013. A total of 68,243 fans attended league games on Independence Day.
Below are the attendence figures for each club:
- Cedar Rapids Kernels - 5,631
- Clinton LumberKings - 5,281
- Dayton Dragons - 8,013
- Fort Wayne TinCaps - 8,780 (Set Parkview Field Atten. Record)
- Kane County Cougars - 11,304
- Lansing Lugnuts - 12,692
- Peoria Chiefs - 8,040
- West Michigan Whitecaps - 8,502
The previous record for single day was 56,789, which was set on Aug. 14, 2010.
