New Logo Incorporates Notable Eugene Landmarks

January 21, 2010
EUGENE, OR - The Eugene Emeralds are moving into 2010 with a new park, new GM and now a new look. The team revealed a brand new logo today-the sixth logo since the team's first logo in 1969.

The new primary logo features two notable landmarks in the Eugene/Springfield community, the Willamette River and Spencer Butte. Recognizing the landmarks in the logo was important in establishing the team's local connection in the area as well as the history the Ems have in the Willamette Valley. Never before has the Ems logo been so deeply rooted in community identity.

The logo being replaced has represented the team since 1997.
