Mike Olt smacked a two-run shot as an eighth-inning pinch-hitter to lead the Cubs over the A's in Cactus League action Tuesday. The third-base prospect, acquired as part of the Matt Garza deal last July, is trying to recover from a disastrous 2013 in which he batted .201 and missed time for eye surgery. Olt's heroics offset another terrific performance by fleet-footed Billy Burns, who reached base three more times and stole two more bases to give him seven of each this spring.

Rays 8, Red Sox 0 Box »

In just his second organized game after missing most of 2013 following a horrific knee injury with Durham, MLB.com's No. 84 overall prospect Hak-Ju Lee came off the bench to line a two-run double in his first at-bat. The fifth-inning drive to center scored Jose Molina and fellow prospect Kevin Kiermaier to give Tampa Bay its final runs in an 8-0 win over Boston. Rays pitching prospect Mike Montgomery pitched the seventh and eighth innings in relief, allowing a hit, fanning one and -- most importantly for the control-deprived lefty -- not allowing a walk.
