Prospects added to 40-man, protected from Rule 5

Friday marks the biggest day yet in the careers of some of the most prominent prospects in baseball. Others might be left wondering what comes next.

The deadline by which eligible players must be added to 40-man rosters or else qualify for the Rule 5 Draft is Friday, 6 p.m. ET. Rule 5-elgible players are those who signed when they were 18 or younger and have been in pro ball for five seasons or more as well as players who signed at 19 or older and have been in pro ball for four seasons or more.
