R-Phils Give Fans Chance to Etch Their Name in Bricks
(Reading, PA) - The Reading Phillies, the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia
Phillies since 1967, are pleased to announce that commemorative personalized bricks
outside the newly renovated FirstEnergy Stadium, are now available for purchase to the
general public, after initially going on-sale at the 2011 Phillies Winter Banquet.
"The $10 Million Renovations have given us the ability to add some great fan-friendly
features to our ballpark," said R-Phils GM Scott Hunsicker. "This is a great way
for fans to become a permanent part of America's Classic Ballpark. R-Phils fans can use
the personalized bricks to celebrate special events, memorialize loved ones, or simply
show their R-Phils pride."
The personalized bricks will be installed outside of the brand-new Hall of Fame Courtyard
at FirstEnergy Stadium -- a spot, which is four times as large as the previous entrance
area. R-Phils fans can now have the chance to recognize their family and friends through
lasting tributes engraved directly onto the bricks of the plaza at America's Classic
Ballpark. The Hall of Fame Courtyard will include 8"x16" polished granite
markers of all the Reading Baseball Hall of Famers, as well as all of the Kings and Queens
of Baseballtown, and all of the retired numbers in Reading baseball history.
For $125, Reading Phillies fans can get their own personalized message on a 4x8-inch
brick, and that brick will become part of America's Classic Ballpark. The R-Phils are
offering fans interested in purchasing more than one brick, a great deal. Any fan that
purchases more than one brick will get the additional bricks for just $100 each. Also, all
R-Phils season ticket-holders interested in purchasing a brick, will receive a special
price of $100.
Bricks can be ordered by calling 610-370-BALL, or online at readingphillies.com. Be a part
of America's Classic Ballpark forever!
