Rain Slows Start Of Bulls Ohio Road Tour

August 10, 2012
Toledo, OH --- The opener of Durham's eight-game road trip against Toledo was suspended due to rain in the fourth inning with the game tied 1-1 at Fifth Third Field.

Friday's game was delayed for nearly two hours before finally being suspended. It will be resumed on Saturday at 5:30 PM ET with the Mud Hens batting with the bases loaded, two outs and a 1-2 count on Danny Worth.

The Bulls had taken a 1-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a two-out single to center by Leslie Anderson, bringing home Tim Beckham, who singled to open the game.

In the last of the fourth, Cesar Ramos permitted three singles to the first four he faced, including a game-tying single to Brad Davis to tie the score. Ramos escaped a bases loaded jam in the second inning and stranded two more baserunners in the third.

A seven-inning game will follow the conclusion of the suspended game on Saturday night.
