Raptors Lose Third Straight

Chukars No-Hit Through Five

OGDEN - The Ogden Raptors lost their third straight game to start the second half, losing to the Idaho Falls Chukars 7-4 Tuesday night at Lindquist Field.

The Raptors held the Chukars hitless through the first five innings. Ross Stripling started the game and pitched three perfect innings, striking out three. Kazuki Nishijima then pitched two hitless innings before allowing three runs on five hits in the sixth, tying the game 3-3.

Craig Stem then allowed four runs on four hits in 0.2 innings, putting the Chukars ahead 7-3.

At the plate, Eric Smith hit a triple and Kevin Thompson doubled as part of two-hit days. Jose Capellan also hit a double and Jeremy Rathjen hit two singles.

Alan Garcia and Scott Griggs each pitched scoreless outings.

For Idaho Falls, Diego Goris hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning.

The Raptors will try to break their three-game skid Wednesday against the Chukars. Carlos Frias will face the Pioneer League's leader in ERA in Sam Selman. Game starts at 7:00 and can be heard on 97.5 Fox Sports Radio.
