July 10, 2011
On Sunday evening in Richmond, the Flying Squirrels continued their mastery over the Senators with a 4-3 win. Richmond scored the winning run in their final at bat, the second time this season they have won in walk-off fashion against the Senators and the third time this week they've turned the trick.

Bill Rhinehart blasted a three-run home run in the fourth inning for the Sens first hit putting Harrisburg up 3-0. But the lead didn't even last the fourth inning when Richmond came right back with three runs of their own. Surkamp with a two-run two-single to tie the game.

From there, the Sens would muster just two more hits in the game. Chris McConnell doubled with one-out In the fifth and Rhinehart singled off the left-field wall with two outs in the sixth.

Arnesen finished going six innings and striking out eight. Losing pitcher Carlos Martinez pitched 1.2 innings and allowed two hits in the ninth, including the game winning single off the bat of Roger Kieschnick. Surkamp struck out 12 Sens, a season-high for him.

The final game of the four-game series is Monday at noon. The Sens send RH Shairon Martis to the hill against RH Daryl Maday for Richmond. The game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website, and on your ipad or iphone beginning at 11:45am.
