Sky Sox Top Bees 11-10

June 26, 2011
An unearned run in the top of the ninth inning gave the Colorado Springs Sky Sox an 11-10 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Sunday afternoon.

Tyson Auer tied the game for the Bees in the bottom of the eighth with his first home run of the season, but Ian Stewart led off the ninth with a single off the glove of Salt Lake pitcher Barret Browning. Mike Paulk laid down a sacrifice bunt attempt, but Browning (2-1) threw the ball past first baseman Paul McAnulty into the bullpen which allowed Stewart to score from first base.

Jeremy Moore led the Bees with three hits, including a triple, and three runs scored. McAnulty had two hits, both of which were doubles, and two runs batted in, while Auer added two hits and two RBI. Gil Velazquez chipped in with one hit and three runs batted in, while Kevin Richardson added one hit and two RBI before being ejected in the fifth after a verbal altercation with Colorado Springs' Cole Garner, who was also tossed.
