Three Minor Leaguers suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that three Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Los Angeles Dodgers Minor League right-handed pitcher Jose Dominguez has been suspended for 25 games without pay for a violation of the program. The suspension of Dominguez, who is on the roster of the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts of the Southern League, will be effective at the start of next season.

Free agent Minor League right-handed pitcher Emerson Martinez has been suspended for 50 games without pay after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol. The suspension of Martinez will be effective immediately upon his signing with another Major League organization.

Free agent Minor League shortstop Luis Valenzuela has been suspended for 50 games without pay after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol. The suspension of Valenzuela will be effective immediately upon his signing with another Major League organization.
