Elarton extends shutout streak; Leesman, Knights blank Tides

Matt Tuiasosopo hit an inside-the-park homer, drove in four runs and fell a triple shy of the cycle to lead Buffalo to a 14-7 triumph over visiting Gwinnett. Brad Emaus also went deep and Omar Quintanilla tripled, singled and chipped in three RBIs for the Bisons. Ernesto Mejia went 3-for-5 and drove in three runs for the Braves.

Scott Elarton allowed three hits over six innings for his fourth straight win as Lehigh Valley edged Indianapolis, 1-0. The veteran right-hander extended his scoreless streak to 22 frames and grabbed a share of the IL lead with his fifth win. Cody Overbeck singled home the game's lone run in the sixth for the IronPigs. Indians starter Daniel Cabrera was charged with one run on five hits over six innings.

D.J. Mitchell allowed an unearned run on four hits over seven innings as Scranton/Wilkes-Barre shut down Toledo, 3-1. Gustavo Molina had two hits, including a two-run single that capped the Yankees' three-run sixth. Matt Young went 2-for-4 and scored the Mud Hens' lone run.

White Sox No. 14 prospect Charlie Leesman tied a season high with seven strikeouts and allowed six hits over 6 2/3 innings as Charlotte blanked Norfolk, 5-0. Justin Greene homered, doubled twice, drove in two runs and scored twice for the Knights, who also got three hits and two RBIs from Ozzie Martinez. Chris Robinson and Tyler Kelly both had two hits for the Tides.

Ezequiel Carrera ripped a two-run homer to cap a four-run sixth inning as Columbus rallied for a 6-2 victory over visiting Syracuse. Carrera finished with four RBIs while Matt LaPorta and former International League MVP Russ Canzler also went deep for the Clippers. Carlos Rivero had two hits and scored a run in a losing cause.

Jeff Manship gave up three hits over five shutout innings as Rochester defeated Louisville, 4-1. Wilkin Ramirez was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Ben Revere remained hot with two hits and a run scored for the Red Wings. Kris Negron scored the Bats' lone run.

Che-Hsuan Lin singled home the go-ahead run in the seventh inning as Pawtucket topped Durham, 5-4. Kevin Youkilis began a rehab assignment with the PawSox and went 1-for-2 with a walk, while Lars Anderson cracked a three-run homer. Hideki Matsui was 2-for-4 with a two-run double for the Bulls.
