The Sounds mounted a four-run rally in the ninth trailing 17-8 but the deficit was too steep to overcome despite nine Nashville hitters coming to the plate.

Martini's streak is the longest by a Nashville player in the Pacific Coast League era and is the longest active streak in Minor League Baseball.
