Nashville Sounds Communications Department
Cory oversees communications efforts for the Sounds and First Horizon Park.
His duties include writing and distributing press releases and baseball information that helps promote organizational and team accomplishments both on and off the field. He also manages game day press box operations, co-manages the club's social media efforts, serves as the main contact for media requests and interviews with local and national media, and helps in producing and editing content for the team's publications and website.
Cory is in his eighth season working in professional baseball and second with the Sounds after arriving in Nashville in January 2025. He comes to Middle Tennessee after spending four seasons with the Amarillo Sod Poodles (Double-A , Arizona Diamondbacks). He served as the Director of Media Relations and Baseball Operations for the Sod Poodles from 2022-24. He joined the Sod Poodles as the Baseball Communications Coordinator prior to the start of the 2021 season. During his time in Amarillo, he oversaw the team's external communication efforts, including all materials that are distributed to fans along with local and national media outlets used to promote the team and organization.
Prior to joining the Amarillo front office, he worked as the Media Relations Trainee for the Gwinnett Stripers (Triple-A, Atlanta Braves) briefly before the minor league season was canceled in 2020. His start in professional baseball came in the 2019 season as the Media Relations Intern for the Pulaski Yankees, a former Advanced Rookie affiliate of the New York Yankees in Virginia.
A native of Golden, Colorado, he graduated with a bachelorโs degree in journalism with a minor in sports media from Metropolitan State University of Denver in December 2018. He enjoys spending his free time exploring new areas outdoors with his wife and two dogs, playing golf, and watching sports. Cory and his wife, Cara, are excited to welcome twins just before the start of the 2026 season.
Nishant enters his 3rd season in Triple-A baseball and the first with Nashville after joining the team as the Communications Assistant in February of 2026. His responsibilities consist of assisting game-day operations, game-day lineups, game notes, press releases, media credentials, and coordinating player/staff interviews with local and national media.
Brahme served as the Media Relations Intern for the Iowa Cubs during the 2025 season. He assisted their communications staff with reseasrching baseball information, credential requests, game-day lineups, feature stories, and media interviews all while serving double-duty on game days where he handled social media and pitch clock during I-Cubs home games.
Prior to Iowa, he served as the Media and Communications Seasonal Associate with the Omaha Storm Chasers during the 2024 season. With Omaha, he assisted their communications staff with distribution of game day information in the press box and clubhouses along with coordinating player interviews and assisting with other baseball information. He was fortunate enough to be a part of Storm Chasers 2024 International League Championship as they defeated the Columbus Clippers in a three-game series.
He attended the University of Kansas from 2019-2023 and earned his bachelor's degree in Sport Managment with a minor in Journalism (Strategic Communications).
Jeff Hem continues to serve as the "Voice of the Sounds" for the 2026 season. He enters his 14th year in Music City and his 20th overall season behind the microphone.
In 2012, Hem arrived in Nashville with eight seasons and over 1,100 games of professional baseball experience under his belt. He spent the previous seven seasons with the Single-A Kane County Cougars of the Midwest League, including 2009 when the Cougars, then an A's affiliate, were managed by former Sounds skipper Steve Scarsone.
Career highlights for Hem include making his regular season Major League broadcast debut in June 2018 with the Oakland A's for a doubleheader at the Chicago White Sox, being part of the radio broadcast team for the 2018 Triple-A All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio, and calling the inaugural game at First Horizon Park on April 17, 2015. While with the Cougars, he also enjoyed the opportunity to call two minor league games at Wrigley Field in Chicago and Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
His additional duties for the Sounds include sponsorship and corporate sales and performing public speaking engagements. In the offseason, Hem continues to call the play-by-play action for several college and high school games on television and radio.
A native of Aurora, Illinois, and a graduate of the University of Iowa, Hem began his broadcasting career while in college before completing an internship with the Battle Creek Yankees en route to gaining his position with Kane County. He and his wife, Alissa, reside in Hendersonville with their two children.
Nashville Sounds Game Information
Today's Matchup: Opening day for the 2026 season is scheduled for March 27 on the road against the Norfolk Tides (Triple-A, Baltimore Orioles). The home opener at First Horizon Park is Tuesday, March 31 against the Charlotte Knights (Triple-A, Chicago White Sox). The 2026 Nashville Sounds Media Guide will be available the week of March 23.

The Nashville Sounds Radio Network is the home of all 150 Nashville Sounds regular season games each season on both terrestrial radio and streaming apps. 94.9 The Fan continues to serve as the team's flagship radio station throughout Middle Tennessee and worldwide on The Fan's streaming app.
Jeff Hem will handle play-by-play duties in his 14th season as the "Voice of the Sounds". Select broadcasts will air on sister stations 102.5 The Game and 93.3 Totally Hits, amd those stations' streaming apps. All game broadcasts can also be heard on the MiLB First Pitch app.
Fans can stream the Sounds and more than 7,000 Minor League games LIVE or on-demand on MiLB.com or in the MiLB app with a subscription to MiLB.TV. Fans can also stream live games, chat, create watch parties, play games and win rewards, all for free through the Bally Live App for a fully interactive experience.
Media Credentials
Full season and daily Media credentials are available upon request for legitimate news-gathering outlets looking to cover the 2026 Nashville Sounds. All daily requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the game in which you plan to cover in order to process the requests in a timely manner. Media members who obtain a media credential MUST be working media. Credentials MAY NOT be used as a game ticket or for recreational access. Credential requests for Nashville Sounds road games should be directed to the media relations department for the home team.
NOTE: Filling out the daily media credential application does not guarantee that the request will be approved.
Members of the Baseball Writers of America Assocation (BBWA) do not need to apply for credentials but are requested to reach out to the Nashville Sounds communications department so that accomodations can be made in the press box.

Media Information
Once approved, credentials will be made available to pick up at the First Horizon Park Will Call Window at the main ticket office (located next to the suite level entrance on Junior Gilliam Way). Daily credentials will be available for pick up at least 4 hours prior to first pitch. A valid ID is required to pick up credentials.
The media entrance to First Horizon Park is the gameday staff entrance, located near the corner of Junior Gilliam Way and Rep. John Lewis Way. Media members must have their credentials in order to enter the ballpark.
Limited media parking is available in the Nashville Sounds Suite Holder Parking Lot located across from the Right Field entrance and across Rep. John Lewis Way from the ballpark.
Interview Requests
All interviews for Nashville Sounds players/staff MUST BE SCHEDULED through the Nashville Sounds communications department and requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Credentialed media members will be allowed to access the playing field with prior approval. At no time will media members be allowed in fair territory or beyond first or third base. Pre-game interviews must be conducted prior to on-field stretch or at the conclusion of batting practice and all non-uniformed personnel must clear the field at the conclusion of the visiting team's scheduled batting practice time. Post-game media availability can be scheduled 15-minutes after the conclusion of the game (based on availability) and will take place at an area determined by the Nashville Sounds communications department.
Both the home and visiting clubhouse at First Horizon Park are CLOSED at all times unless permission is granted by the Sounds or a visiting communications department. Training Rooms are CLOSED TO THE MEDIA AT ALL TIMES.
All interview requests for opposing teams must be coordinated through each club's media relations department.
Photography & Videography
Credentialed photographers are available to shoot anywhere around the 360-degree concourse at First Horizon Park, if open and available, and it does not obstruct fans. Please be mindful of stadium staff and ballpark cameras at all times. Field-level or dugout camera well access during a game MUST be pre-approved by the Nashville Sounds communications department. If approved to be in the dugout camera wells and you wish to switch dugouts or leave the area, please wait untl the half-inning is complete. Use the gate leading to the stands at the far end of each dugout to exit or walk around the warning track behind home plate to the other dugout if switching sides while not interfering with players entering/exiting the dugouts.
Posession of and/or usage of drones on ballpark property and/or ballpark airspace is explicitly prohibited; violators could face local and federal penalties.
