HARRISBURG, P.A — The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, battled for 11 innings but fell on a walk-off single, losing to the Harrisburg Senators 4-3 at FNB Field on Friday night.

James Wood delivered an RBI single up the middle off left-hander Mason Fluharty (0-1) in the 11th that brought home the winning run to snap New Hampshire’s four game road winning streak.

The Fisher Cats went 1-for-14 with runners in scoring position on the night and failed to score in both the 10th and 11th innings, leaving the door open for Harrisburg (27-26) to win. New Hampshire has scored only one run in extra innings this season in two extra-inning games this year, not including extra-inning doubleheaders.

With New Hampshire (28-25) trailing 3-2 in the ninth and down to his final out, Orelvis Martinez tied it up with an RBI double down the right field line to bring home Will Robertson from third. Martinez went 2-for-5 on the night and remains third in the Eastern League in RBIs with 38 on the year.

Damiano Palmegiani extended his hit streak to a team-long 10 games with an RBI double in the fifth.

Sebastian Espino launched his third homer of the season in the sixth. All three of his home runs this season have gone to right field.

Left-hander Trenton Wallace got the start in his Double-A debut since being promoted from Vancouver on Tuesday. The 24-year old pitched 4.1 innings, allowing six hits and three runs and one walk while striking out one in a no-decision. At one point, Wallace set down 10 batters in a row.

Right-handers Adrian Hernandez and Troy Watson threw 2.2 shutout innings each out of the bullpen to keep the Fisher Cats in it and send the game to extras.

The Fisher Cats continue their six-game road trip against the Harrisburg Senators with a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 5:00 pm. RHP Luis Quinones (3-0, 3.34 ERA) and LHP Jimmy Robbins (2-4, 5.40 ERA) will get the starts for New Hampshire against LHP Dustin Saenz (0-0, -.-- ERA) and LHP Mitchell Parker (3-3, 6.15 ERA) for Harrisburg.

The next home stand for the Fisher Cats begins Tuesday, June 13 against the Akron Rubberducks.
