*Portland, ME - *With two runs in the ninth inning and eight in the tenth, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) earned their most impressive win of the 2021 season with a 14-6 come-from-behind victory over the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) in 10 innings on Friday night at Hadlock Field.

Trailing 6-4 in the top of the ninth with league-leading closer Jose Adames on the mound, the Fisher Cats scored twice to force extras on a solo home run from Gabriel Moreno and an RBI single from Kevin Vicuña.

In the tenth inning, New Hampshire scored eight times thanks to an RBI single from Samad Taylor, a run-scoring groundout from Otto Lopez, a pair of two-run doubles from Moreno and LJ Talley, and a two-run homer from Nick Podkul.

Three different New Hampshire hitters had four-hit nights: Moreno (4-for-5, 3 RBI), Talley (4-for-6, 3 RBI) and Vicuña (3-for-6, 2 RBI).

Mike Ellenbest (W, 1-2) earned his first Double-A win with a perfect ninth and tenth with five strikeouts.

The Fisher Cats tied a franchise record with 18 strikeouts, and set a new season high with 20 hits.

Portland led nearly the entire game. Pedro Castellanos hit the first of two home runs in the opening inning, and Ronaldo Hernandez hit a solo shot in the second. The Fisher Cats took a brief 3-2 lead in the third inning on RBI singles from Talley and Vicuña, but Hudson Potts hit a two-run single in the bottom half to put Portland back in front, 4-3.

Castellanos hit his second home run, a two-run blast in the fourth, to extend the Sea Dogs lead to 6-3. Reggie Pruitt cut the deficit to one with an RBI double in the sixth.

The Fisher Cats and Sea Dogs meet again on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in Portland. The next Fisher Cats home game at Delta Dental Stadium is Tuesday, June 15 against the Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies).
