HARRISBURG, P.A — The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, fought back to win the series opener against the Harrisburg Senators 6-5 at FNB Field on Tuesday night.

There were four lead changes in the game and the Fisher Cats trailed until the sixth when Phil Clarke hit a go-ahead two-run homer off Washington Nationals left-handed rehabber and two-time All-Star Sean Doolittle (0-1) with a fly ball into the right-field seats. The home run gave the Fisher Cats a 5-4 lead, which they would not relinquish for the rest of the night.

Leo Jimenez led New Hampshire (27-24) with a game-high three hits and was a triple shy of the cycle. His second home run of the season to left-center in the fifth tied up the score at the time 3-3.

Will Robertson and Damiano Palmegiani both collected a pair of hits with Palmegiani recording a pair of RBI singles in the first and third. Palmegiani has now reached base in 40 of 46 games played this season and has a team-leading 13 multi-hit games this year. Robertson is now hitting .412 (7-for-17) against Harrisburg (26-25) pitching in 2023.

On the mound, Sem Robberse got the start for New Hampshire, throwing 4.2 innings and allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out four, getting a no-decision.

Right-hander Gabriel Ponce (3-2) picked up the win after a 1.1 shutout innings of relief with two strikeouts. Left-hander Mason Fluharty struck out four in 1.2 innings of work and right-hander TJ Brock recorded a four out save and struck out the side in the ninth for his second career Double-A save.

The Fisher Cats continue their six-game road trip against the Harrisburg Senators tomorrow at 6:30 pm. RHP Chad Dallas (1-0, 2.76 ERA) will get the start for New Hampshire against RHP Cole Henry (0-0, -.-- ERA) for Harrisburg.

The next home stand for the Fisher Cats begins Tuesday, June 13 against the Akron Rubberducks.
