Six-Run Rally Leads NH to 8-3 Win

Fisher Cats earn first win of second half over Trenton on Saturday

Manchester, NH - Brock Lundquist  and Christian Williams  each knocked in two runs in a six-run third inning as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) picked up their first win of the second half, 8-3, over the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) on Saturday night at Delta

Manchester, NH - Brock Lundquist  and Christian Williams  each knocked in two runs in a six-run third inning as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) picked up their first win of the second half, 8-3, over the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) on Saturday night at Delta Dental Stadium. 
For the second straight night, the Fisher Cats put a run on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Vinny Capra  doubled off the left field scoreboard and then advanced to third on a passed ball. Josh Palacios  picked up the RBI with a sacrifice fly to right field.
Trenton took a 2-1 lead with two runs in the top of the third, but New Hampshire answered with one of its best innings of the season. The Fisher Cats sent eleven men to the plate in the third, scoring six times. Santiago Espinal  was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to tie the game at 2-2, Lundquist singled home two runs, Williams added a two-run triple to right center, and Kevin Smith  knocked in Williams with a base hit to make it 7-2.
The Thunder got a run back with a Kyle Holder RBI double in the fourth, but committed two errors in the sixth to put the 'Cats ahead 8-3. 
Yennsy Diaz  (W, 6-5), New Hampshire's starter, allowed three runs in his five innings. In winning his team-leading sixth game, Diaz allowed four hits and struck out six batters. 
Justin Dillon  (S, 1), who was called up from Advanced-A Dunedin earlier in the day, recorded the final 12 outs of the game. He scattered two hits with a walk and three strikeouts over four shutout innings. 

The Fisher Cats and Thunder meet one more time on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Bo Bichette bobblehead, part of our Tri-Bobble series. It's also Franco-American Heritage Day and Kids Run The Bases after the game. For tickets and information, visit nhfishercats.com.
