(Acereros-Prensa) 28 de febrero de 2022.-Tan importante el roster de peloteros activos como quienes habrán de manejar el timón del barco azul durante la próxima temporada; en ese contexto, Acereros de Monclova ha optado por renovar el elenco de coaches que trabajarán con el manager Mickey Callaway, destacando la presencia de elementos de entero conocimiento y confianza para el timonel de la furia.
MICKEY CALLAWAY (MANAGER): Manejador de los Mets de Nueva York las temporadas del 2018 y 2019; Callaway inició su carrera como coach en 2010 trabajando en sucursales de Indios de Cleveland, equipo con el que ascendió hasta ser coach de pitcheo en Grandes Ligas en 2013, tras años muy exitosos en la faceta también tuvo esa labor con Los Ángeles de Anaheim en 2020. Callaway fue el timonel Campeón con Acereros de Monclova en Liga Invernal Mexicana.
Nacimiento: 13 de mayo 1975. Memphis, Tennessee.
CHAD KREUTER (COACH DE BANCA): Con experiencia de 16 temporadas como jugador ligamayorista entre 1988 y 2003, inició su trayectoria como entrenador en béisbol colegial en 2006, dando el brinco al profesionalismo con los Mets de Nueva York, organización para la cual trabajó hasta 2021. Como jugador, a Kreuter le tocó hacer batería con lanzadores como Nolan Ryan, Randy Johnson, Kevin Brown, Eric Gagne, Kenny Rogers, Bill Gullickson, Charlie Hough, Frank Tanana, Walt Terrell, James Baldwin, Chuck Finley, Mark Langston, Robb Nen, Chan Ho Park, entre otros, sus aportes al elenco técnico de Acereros serán valiosos la siguiente campaña. Chad también fue parte del equipo Campeón en Liga Invernal Mexicana.

JULIO FRANCO (COACH DE BATEO): El exartillero dominicano Julio Franco, quien jugó 23 temporadas en Grandes Ligas donde fue champion bat, participó en tres Juegos de Estrellas resultando el Jugador Más Valioso en 1990 y obtuvo cinco galardones Silver Slugger, será parte del cuerpo técnico de Acereros de Monclova como coach de bateo. Franco también tuvo par de cetros bateadores en Liga Mexicana con promedios por encima de los .400.
Nacimiento: 23 de agosto 1958. Hato del Rey, República Dominicana.
STAN KYLES (COACH DE PITCHEO): Se retiró como pelotero profesional en 1990 y a partir del siguiente año se convirtió en entrenador, trabajando en el sistema de sucursales de los Cachorros de Chicago y Rockies de Colorado hasta llegar a los Cerveceros de Milwaukee, quienes lo ascendieron a Grandes Ligas como coach de bullpen en 2008. Su experiencia será de valioso aporte para los lanzadores monclovenses.
Nacimiento: 26 de febrero 1961. Chicago, Illinois.
JONATHAN HURST (COACH DE BULLPEN): Fue un serpentinero que lanzó en Grandes Ligas y que además fue estrella en el béisbol de Asia, principalmente en Taiwan, como coach inició sus labores en 2006 al lado de los Mets de Nueva York con quienes se mantuvo varios años; en Monclova ya estuvo presente con el equipo Campeón invernal 2021.

FRANCISCO VILLEGAS (COACH PRIMERA BASE): Integrado por completo a la ciudad y organización; Villegas ha desarrollado diversas labores en el cuerpo técnico Acerero desde su llegada al equipo en 2017, este año estará encargado del cajón de la primera base, labor que ya desempeñó con éxito durante Liga Invernal Mexicana. Su conocimiento del roster y de la Liga en general, lo convierten en un coach clave para Mickey Callaway.
Nacimiento: 23 de marzo 1978. San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.
KEVIN RIGGS (COACH TERCERA BASE): Incorporación importante para esta temporada es la del encargado de dirigir el tráfico por la antesala, Riggs empezó su carrera de coach en 2007 trabajando en ligas menores de Rockies de Colorado, también ha laborado para sucursales Piratas de Pittsburgh y Filis de Philadelphia en facetas de manager y entrenador de cuadro y bateo; en Monclova, además de la tercera base, estará ayudando a Julio Franco con los bateadores de la Furia.
Nacimiento: 3 de febrero 1969. Hartford, Connecticut.
