Lookouts Win Second Half!

With the Lookouts defeating the Birmingham Barons, 6-5, last night, the Lookouts have officially won the second-half title in the North Division of the Southern League. As such, the Lookouts are scheduled to play their first home playoff game at AT&T Field against the Jackson Generals (North Division first-half winners) on Saturday, September 8th. This game will feature post-game fireworks. Tickets are currently on sale. Games four and five, if necessary, will also be played at AT&T Field in the best-of-five series against the Generals. The series is scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 6th at Pringles Park in Jackson, Tennessee.

This marks the second consecutive season in which the Lookouts have won the second half of the North Division. Last season, the Lookouts were defeated by the Tennessee Smokies in the Divisional Series. Chattanooga last won a Southern League Championship in 1988.

The Mobile BayBears will face the second-half winner in the Southern League South Division Playoffs. The winners of each Divisional Series will play each other in the Southern League Championship Series, which will also have a best-of-five format.
