Cain bobblehead, Instagrizz Night highlight homestand

Ladies Night, Ag Night also part of 8-game homestand

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Grizzlies will begin an eight-game homestand on Thursday, May 16 at Chukchansi Park. The Grizzlies will play a four-game series against the New Orleans Zephyrs, Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, from May 16-May 19, and a four-game series against the Oklahoma City RedHawks, Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, from May 20-May 23.

The eight-game homestand kicks off on Thursday, May 16 with Ladies Night. It's a night at the ballpark for the girls with spa treatments along the concourse during the game. Fan favorites, the Drag Kings, presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, will perform. Plus, it is Tecate Thursday, meaning Tecate and Tecate Lights are $1 (12 oz.) and $2 (24 oz.) through the fifth inning and sodas are $1 throughout the game. Lezayr will provide live pre-game music, presented by New Rock 104.1, in the Tecate Cantina starting at 5:35 pm. Fans can get in early at 5:35 pm through the Fulton Mall entrance. First pitch is 7:05 pm.

On Farm Grown Friday, May 17, it is Ag Night, presented by Bayer CropScience. Farm Grown Fridays feature a Farm Forum, a Farmer's Market, and a post-game fireworks show. This Friday's Farm Forum, held in The CRU Club before the game at 5:30 pm, features guest speakers California State Senator Tom Berryhill, California Farm Bureau President Paul Wenger, and Fresno County Farm Bureau Executive Officer Ryan Jacobsen. Former Mayor of Fresno Alan Autry will host the Farm Forum. The post-game fireworks show is presented by Bayer CropScience. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

Saturday, May 18 will mark the first of four Farm Grown bobblehead giveaways for the 2013 season. Saturday's bobblehead giveaway, presented by PG&E, will feature former Grizzlies player and current Giants pitcher Matt Cain and be given to the first 2,000 general admission fans. Not only will there be a bobblehead giveaway, but there will also be the Gildan Underwear Giveaway. The Drag Kings, presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, will perform the second time in the homestand as well.

The final game of the series between Fresno and New Orleans on Sunday, May 19 is a day for the entire family. It is Bike to the Park Day, where fans can ride their bikes to Chukchansi Park and receive free, secure valet parking provided by I Bike Fresno. For those that ride their bike to the game, they will be eligible to receive a $6 Field Level Reserved ticket to the game. Whether you ride your bike or drive your car, please bring new or gently used books for the Reach Out & Read Book Drive. Books will be donated to Reach Out & Read, and for those that donate five or more books, they will receive a "Buy One, Get One Free" ticket voucher for a future 2013 Grizzlies game. The 3:05 pm game also includes the Stauffer's Animal Crackers Pre-Game Parade and Future Giants and Parker Autograph Session. Parker will be joined by his mascot friends all game long for Parker's Fur-ternity. After the game, stick around for Kids Run The Bases, presented by popchips.

Also, be sure to check the Grizzlies' Facebook and Twitter accounts on Friday, May 17 for this week's Social Sunday deal. Fans will be able to receive a special discount exclusive to the Grizzlies social media followers during Sunday's game.

The second series of the eight-game homestand begins with Monday Madness on May 20 against the Oklahoma City Redhawks. Fans who participate in Monday Madness, presented by ABC 30 and Wild Water Adventure Park, receive an unbeatable deal. Monday Madness includes 2 Field Level Reserved tickets, 2 Wild Water Adventure Park passes, 2 Blackbeard's mini golf passes, 2 hot dogs, and 2 sodas for $32. The Monday Madness deal is only available at the Chukchansi Box Office on the day of the game. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

Tuesday, May 21 is 2 for Tuesday and Making The Grade Day at Chukchansi Park. Grizzlies fans can get in on the action with two Field Box tickets for the price of one, as well as purchase $2 hot dogs, $2 sodas and $2 bags of popchips through the 4th inning. There is also a Business Person's Special, where you can have your lunch meeting in The CRU Club by purchasing CRU Club tickets for $20 each and $26 with a lunch buffet voucher. Local students that participate in Making The Grade Day will be in attendance and partake in an educational experience at Chukchansi Park. First pitch is at 11:05 a.m.

Everybody Wins-Day, presented by The Fresno Bee, will be on Wednesday, May 22. Everybody Wins-Day participants will receive 2 Super View tickets, 2 Fresno Chaffee Zoo passes, 2 Jamba Juice vouchers, 2 RaceRoom @ River Park passes, and 2 John's Incredible Pizza Company vouchers, all for $26. Wine Glass Wednesdays, presented by CRU Wine, provides a great opportunity for fans to receive a complimentary stemless CRU Wine company wine glass with the purchase of a glass of CRU wine at the game. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

The final game of the eight-game homestand will take place on Thursday, May 23 at 7:05 p.m. The Tecate Thursday is the first ever Instagrizz Night, presented by Fresnobeehive.com. All the Grizzlies' Instagram followers can RSVP to receive a $5 ticket to the May 23 game by tagging their "#instagrizz" photos with the Grizzlies' Instagram handle, @instagrizz_fg. King Sugar will perform live before the game in the Tecate Cantina, presented by New Rock 104.1.
