Celebrate July 4th at Chukchansi Park

The first-place Fresno Grizzlies will put on one of the largest fireworks displays in the Central Valley moments after the final out of the game
June 27, 2015

FRESNO, Calif. - The first-place Fresno Grizzlies are primed to put on an incredible show for Central Valley fans on Saturday, July 4th at Chukchansi Park. The club will play a 7:05 PM game against the Tacoma Rainiers, offer a Chorizo Macaroni and Cheese Hot Dog, put on a Hot Dog Eating Contest (presented by Armour-Ekrich) and light up the sky with a Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by ABC30, minutes after the final out of the game.

"We're confident you'll be able to hear our fireworks show miles away from the ballpark, but there will be no better place to see the show than inside the ballpark with your family and friends" stated Grizzlies GM Derek Franks. "Our organization prides itself on being a gathering place for all generations, and we look forward to providing everyone an incredible experience on Independence Day."

Tickets are on sale now for the Fourth of July home game through the Chukchansi Park Box Office or online. For those bringing groups of 15 or more, contact Kyle Kleiman at 559.320.2536 or at [email protected] as soon as possible to secure the best seats at an incredible price point.

If you're curious about the Chorizo Macaroni and Cheese Hot Dog, you should be. The idea was generated from the same minds that brought you the Frankenslice, which was a hot dog stuffed crust pepperoni slice that captured the attention of the entire nation and satisfied thousands at Chukchansi Park earlier this season. The "Chorizo Mac Dawg" will ONLY be available at the Fourth of July home game.

The Grizzlies roster currently features right-hander Mark Appel and position player Tony Kemp, both of whom will represent the Astros organization in the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game in Cincinnati on Sunday, July 12th. Fresno outfielder L.J. Hoes currently enters Friday night's game in Reno with the second-best batting average in the Pacific Coast League (.348).

The Chukchansi Park Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but fans can purchase tickets anytime online. To speak with a ticket representative, call the box office during normal business hours at 559.320.TIXS (8497).
