Manchester, NH - Cavan Biggio hit his second homer of the game with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays) a 7-6 win over the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) on Thursday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Biggio's first home run was a two-run shot in the bottom of the third inning. His second home run, his Eastern League-leading 26th, came off Tate Scioneaux (L, 2-3) on a 3-0 pitch. The Fisher Cats avoided a series sweep to the defending Eastern League champion. 
Altoona took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Jin-De Jhang walked and Logan Hill reached on a hit-by-pitch. Tyler Gaffney homered to right-center to give the Curve the first runs of the night. They made it 4-0 in the third when Ke'Bryan Hayes, who had reached on an error, scored on a double by Jhang.
The Fisher Cats were able to cut the lead in half in the bottom of the inning. Forrest Wall singled and Biggio homered to make it 4-2.
Altoona came right back with a run in the top of the fifth inning. Jordan George singled, advanced to second on a single by Alfredo Reyes, and scored on a base knock by Cole Tucker.
Biggio started the bottom of the sixth inning with his second extra-base hit, a double. He moved to third on a fly out by Max Pentecost, then scored on a sacrifice fly by Santiago Espinal to make it 5-3.
Altoona's Cole Tucker tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Brian Reynolds in the top of the seventh to make it 6-3.
The Fisher Cats rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth inning. Back-to-back walks to Bo Bichette and Biggo were followed by a two-run double by Max Pentecost. Santiago Espinal singled and Jon Berti reached on an error as Pentecost scored to make it 6-6.
Travis Bergen (W, 3-1), the fourth Fisher Cats pitcher, worked a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win.
The Fisher Cats open a key four-game series at second-place Trenton (New York Yankees) on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network.
